As I have previously stated, what a remarkable moment in time to be involved with and committed to Christian education! Often times a particular phrase bears repeating because no other words seem to fully articulate the scope and magnitude of a situation. I believe this statement has an even greater meaning this year than last because the economic environment continues to remain uncertain. We are delighted and humbled you are examining us via the web and perhaps considering private education at Ezell-Harding Christian School. We think it is vitally important to provide an affordable option for families coupled with a strong academic program grounded in Christian principles. This can only be accomplished by staying true to fulfilling our stated mission, purpose, and vision. During economic periods like this it is crucial that we keep our debt as low as possible, which in turn allows us to keep tuition at affordable rates. Quite simply, no other school in Nashville can match the level of affordable excellence that is attainable at Ezell-Harding Christian School! The 73 Ezell-Harding Christian School graduates of 2010 were representative of the high level of scholarship that has been a longstanding tradition. We can boast of a 100% graduation rate, something unheard of at many schools. We graduated 1 National Merit Commended Scholar, 2 National Merit Achievement Scholars, and 1 National Merit 2010 Finalist. The class of 2010 had 23 Beta members, 7 full tuition scholarship recipients, 3 athletic scholarship recipients, and 3 members of the Academic Quiz Bowl Team participated at the National Level; 15 seniors scored 29 or above on the ACT; 42 seniors qualified for the Tennessee Hope Scholarship and 15 qualified for the Tennessee Merit Assembly Scholarship based on academic excellence; 12 additional local foundation scholarships were granted. The class of 2010 was offered scholarships totaling $2,470,000.00. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments. This is clear evidence that we really do provide affordable excellence! For 2010-2011 EHCS students will continue to be fully clad in their uniform clothing from Parker School Uniforms. We have tweaked the uniform dress policy to better serve students and families. In addition to last year's new computers in both our high school and elementary/middle school labs, we are adding new components to our technology resources. We are pleased to add the new eBeam Edge interactive white boards, eBeam Focus document cameras, and the eBeam Inscribe wireless tablets. Several teachers will utilize the new components as they seek to enhance the school's overall academic program. These are several indicators of affordable excellence in action! We are truly distinctive in that we rank in academic achievement with the most "elite" schools in Nashville but our tuition rates are well below what most require. I've compared tuition rates and achievement statistics and it is true! Without a doubt, our 2011 senior class will be well prepared for success at the post-secondary level and in the global society they will soon encounter. Affordable excellence is working well for our students! Ezell-Harding Christian School is unquestionably affordable, college preparatory, and most important - grounded in Christian principles taught daily through the inspired word of God. Our mission is simple, yet profound; we are dedicated to the ideal of helping each student realize the full potential God has instilled. This is a place where students can learn for their future on earth and for eternity. Please let us know how we may assist you with your educational needs. We are truly persistent and unswerving in our pursuit to provide affordable excellence! Jim Morris

Ezell-Harding Christian School exists to teach young people God's revealed will to man through the Bible and to encourage them to grow and mature in the likeness of Christ. Luke 2:52 serves as a motto: "...and Jesus grew in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man."
With daily Bible instruction as the core of the curriculum, weekly chapel services and daily devotional periods are held. Academic curriculum is selected to insure an advanced education leading to a variety of careers. Extra-curricular activities are offered to enhance the students' physical, social and personal development. EHCS students are urged to stretch their minds, bodies, and hearts to become useful citizens for our country and in God's Kingdom. In addition to this stated direction, the administration, faculty and staff are encouraged to give a maximum effort toward the goals set forth in this mission. This is accomplished when each administrator, faculty member and staff person serves as an example and role model and gives the best they can give to the students. Ideally, our lives should reflect the purpose of the school and the dedication to excellence that allows that purpose to be realized to its greatest capacity.

At Ezell-Harding Christian School, we provide students with a solid Christian foundation for their daily lives, as well as for their future. A Christian perspective and Christian values are developed through classroom devotionals, daily Bible instruction (at all levels) and weekly chapel services. Qualified teachers approach each subject from a Christian perspective, bringing the light of the Scriptures to every aspect of the curriculum, including extra-curricular activities. Ezell-Harding Christian School teachers strive to practice the principles they teach and to reflect them in their own daily behavior. The Bible itself serves as the textbook for all Bible classes. Although students are tested on their knowledge and understanding of the text, they are also encouraged to look to the Scriptures as their personal guide.
"You shall love your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise." --Deuteronomy 6:5-7

In pursuing its primary goal of excellence, Ezell-Harding Christian School offers each student a challenging academic curriculum. The EHCS elementary program places a strong emphasis on basic reading and math skills. This foundation prepares students for the challenges they will face as they progress in their educational years. In addition to daily P.E. classes, each elementary student has weekly library, music and computer classes. Middle school is a time of transition from the elementary school self-contained setting with one classroom teacher to an environment where the student has several teachers each day. Daily activities include electives such as music, chorus, band, art, computers, foreign language and first aid. Thus, middle school students have the opportunity to enjoy other learning experiences along with their basic core classes. EHCS high school students pursue a demanding college preparatory curriculum. With a number of Advanced and Advanced Placement classes offered in grades seven through twelve and a nationally ranked quiz bowl team, students are challenged to reach the highest of academic standards. Our ACT average composite score is 24.8, and each year we have students honored as National Merit Scholars, National Merit Semifinalists, and National Merit Commended Scholars. After a challenging Pre-Kindergarten - 12th grade academic program, 100% of our graduates attend college.
