Third Grade is an exciting year filled with many new learning experiences. New concepts, such as cursive handwriting and multiplication, are just a few of the many important topics covered. Our exploration of government and our country’s capital includes a child-created book of mini biographies of our presidents and reports centered on historic monuments and symbols. Our adventures in Science take us into many different habitats, the human body, health, and the mechanics of Simple Machines. Creative arts are encouraged through singing, art, plays, and special programs. Individual reading goals for children are encouraged through the Accelerated Reading program. Our Bible curriculum focuses on the life of Christ, God’s plan for our lives in service to others, and how to walk as Jesus walked. Third grade is filled with a variety of experiences, memories, and new things.
