Kindergarten at EHCS is a year full of learning, fun, and memories. We learn beginning and ending sounds of words through the study of animals. This unit concludes with a visit to the zoo where the children observe animals in their natural habitats. The children also go on an exciting adventure through the Bible, where they learn about God’s love and plan for each of us. When learning about hibernation, students look forward to the annual Teddy Bear Picnic! Hope Teddy’s ready! When studying colonial times, we visit local historical places like Mansker’s Station. We show God’s love at Christmas time by shopping for underprivileged children. When March rolls around, we have to keep our eyes open for that tricky leprechaun! As the year comes to a close, we learn our speaking parts for graduation and recreate all the wonderful memories made in Kindergarten. The kindergarten teachers are committed to showing God’s love through comfort, compassion, and encouragement as the students begin to SOAR!
